United Arab Emirates

The development of bilateral relations between Estonia and the United Arab Emirates received a significant boost with the opening of the Estonian Embassy in Abu Dhabi in 2019 and Estonia’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai. Cooperation focuses primarily on economic relations, particularly in the digital field, which both countries have identified as a priority.

To promote business relations and Estonian exports, the Estonia-UAE Business Council was established in March 2022. It brings together more than 30 companies, mainly from the ICT, defence industry, food industry, technology and education sectors.

Estonia and the United Arab Emirates also cooperate within the framework of relations between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
