The Summer School of Cyber Diplomacy brought together diplomats, researchers and experts specialising in cyber topics from 43 countries. The summer school is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the European Commission (INTPA), e-Governance Academy (eGA) and ESTDEV.
Rapid digital developments have altered all areas of society. Therefore, digitalization and cybersecurity have become an important part of diplomacy and international cooperation focusing on the rights and duties of states in cyberspace, while ensuring Internet freedom and security.
Cyber operations have become an integral part of armed conflict. Therefore, there is a growing need to understand how international law safeguards countries and societies striving to sustain their way of life. All these issues will be addressed during the Tallinn Summer School of Cyber Diplomacy.
