According to trade figures, Slovenia was Estonia’s 50th biggest export partner in 2024. The value of the goods exported to Slovenia in 2024 was 23.7 million euros, while the value of goods imported from Slovenia was 94.6 million euros. Recent exports have been led by papermass and paper, machinery and mechanical equipment and means of transport. Import comprised of  machinery and mechanical equipment, means of transport and mineral production.

As of 13 December 2024 there were 269 e-residents of Slovenian origin, 95 of whom have founded their own company in Estonia.

Slovenia has sent students to the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL). Within NATO, Estonia and Slovenia have participated together in international military training and exercises.

Cooperation agreement between the Estonian and Slovenian governments on education, culture and research (entered into in Ljubljana on 5 November 1993). In terms of cultural cooperation, there have been significant joint undertakings in a number of areas (museums, theatres, music and exhibitions) in the last decade.

As regards music, Music Estonia has helped Estonian pop-rock and indie musicians take part each year in the music and talent festival Ljubljana MENT. The most recent edition, which was held from 29-31 March 2023, focussed on the Baltic States. Representing Estonia at the festival were Erki Pärnoja, Tommy Cash, Avoid Dave, Maarja Nuut and Trad Attack. A number of Estonian writers and poets have taken part in the international literary festival Vilenica over the years: Jaan Kaplinski (who won the main prize at the 2001 festival), Andres Ehin, Doris Kareva, Hasso Krull, Triin Soomets, Jaan Malin and Carolina Pihelgas.

The NUKU Theatre has regularly performed at the LUTKE festival of contemporary puppet theatre art in Ljubljana.
