All Estonian citizens and their family members with Estonian residence permits who have registered their short-term travel to the United Arab Emirates on the Reisi Targalt (Travel Smart) website can register and purchase tickets for these flights.
“The first three special flights for Estonian citizens have sold out,” said Foreign Minister Tsahkna. “We very much look forward to welcoming everyone back home and will do our best to find ways to make this possible.”
“The next three flights will go on sale today, and everyone who is waiting to return to Estonia can register and purchase tickets. Since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organising these special flights in cooperation with different travel companies, the method of purchasing tickets varies slightly, and we ask that you follow the instructions of the respective travel company,” Tsahkna added.
“We are also in constant contact with our European colleagues and, where possible, will place our people on special flights organised by other countries,” said Tsahkna. “Since other countries have helped bring our citizens home, we will offer a limited opportunity for other EU citizens to obtain a seat on these special flights.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asks for those who have secured a seat on a special flight to note that tickets cannot be changed. The booking link may also reach people who have already returned home; in that case, please ignore the booking link.
So far, three special flights operated by Heston, AirBaltic, and FlyDubai have been sold out. The expected departure time for the flights from Muscat, Oman, and Dubai, UAE is today.
All Estonian citizens currently in the Middle East region are asked to register their short-term stay on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
