In a conversation following the presentation ceremony, Ambassador Kink and Grand Duke Henri noted the good and close relations between the two countries, including cooperation in the European Union, NATO and other international organisations.
Grand Duke Henri highlighted Estonia’s achievements in building an e-state and digitalising public services. “The cooperation of Luxembourg and Estonia, small countries with open economies, on developing digital services and making them transnational is a good basis for creating solutions for the entire European Union,” Ambassador Kink said.
The meeting also included topical issues in the European Union, defence cooperation in NATO, regional cooperation between the Benelux and the Baltic States and lessons of the COVID-19 crisis.
Ambassador Artur Kink graduated from the University of Tartu with a law degree and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000, working in the Legal Department and Political Department. He has also been posted to Estonia’s permanent representation to NATO and to Estonia’s permanent representation to the EU as part of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Artur Kink has also been a lecturer at the Baltic Defence College. In addition to his ambassadorial duties, he is also the deputy head for administrative affairs at Estonia’s permanent representation to the European Union.
