Starting 1 September 2026, the Republic of Estonia will no longer recognize non biometric diplomatic or service passports issued by the Russian Federation for crossing the European Union’s external border or for applying for a visa. Non biometric ordinary passports issued by the Russian Federation have already not been recognized since 31 March 2025.
