“At the reinforced meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council at the ministerial level, I reiterated that Russia’s attack against Ukraine is an attack against the security of all of Europe and a gross violation of the principles of international law. It is a crime against a peaceful nation that has already been suffering due to an armed conflict in eastern Ukraine for eight years and is now facing an even greater humanitarian crisis.

Making excuses for its steps, Russia has lied to the entire international community and to its own people. We clearly and unequivocally condemn these actions and will stand up to Russia as well as Belarus that took part in today’s attack. We are unwavering in our commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and are supporting our friends in thoughts and deeds to help Ukraine protect their country, and the security of us all and the space based on democratic values.“

All speakers at yesterday’s meeting condemned Russia’s military attack in Ukraine and the violation of the principles of the OSCE.
