Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Estonia

In addition to the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Estonia, Estonia’s interests around the world are also represented by the honorary consuls of the Republic of Estonia.

Honorary consuls are respected individuals of high social standing in their host country. Their primary task is to provide consular services and consular assistance to Estonian citizens abroad. They also use their knowledge and experience to promote relations between Estonia and the host country in business, culture, education and other fields.

Honorary consuls operate within a specific consular district, which is determined by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia with the consent of the host country. Their authority derives from the Consular Act.

Honorary consuls do not receive remuneration from the Estonian state for performing their duties.
