Estonia's and Germany's membership in the European Union and NATO provides a framework for our bilateral partnership. Alongside this, the historical and cultural common ground of both countries continues to play an important role, creating points of contact in mutual relations. The frequency and regularity of bilateral contacts have increased year by year, and good cooperation has developed at the level of governments, parliaments, and local authorities.
