Croatia is Estonia’s 56th-largest export partner. In 2025, Estonia exported goods worth €21.8 million to Croatia and imported goods worth €20 million from Croatia, resulting in a trade surplus of €1.84 million.

Cultural relations between Estonia and Croatia have not been very active. However, there are still some good examples of mutual cooperation e.g. participation in film and cultural festivals.

Estonian and Croatian co-produced animated film A Demonstration of Brilliance in Four Acts was selected to the Programme of Annecy International Animated Film Festival (2019).

In the autumn 2016 premiered “The Spy and the Poet”, a film directed by Toomas Hussar and produced in cooperation between the Estonian Allfilm and the Croatian Nukleus Film.

Estonia and Croatia are allies in NATO. Our bilateral defence cooperation is based on defence co-operation agreement signed in 2006. However, bilateral defence cooperation has not been very active so far. Croatia joined NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence in July 2020.

Since 2003, Croatian servicemen have taken part in the advanced training of colonels and executives at the Baltic Defence College in Tartu and also in the Senior Staff Officers’ course (2009-2010).
