Austria

Austria recognized the Republic of Estonia on June 11, 1921, and again on August 28, 1991, following the restoration of Estonia's independence. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on January 8, 1992. Austrian Foreign Minister Wolfgang Schüssel attended the official opening of the Austrian Embassy in Tallinn in October 1997.
