On Tuesday, 18 June, in line with a tradition of eight years, the President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid and Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu thanked Estonian experts who have served in international missions.

“The contribution made by each participant in civilian missions to ensuring stability and the promotion of democratic values is also a contribution to the security of Estonia. We know and notice this. We also highly appreciate this. It is also appreciated by our allies and partners who have become accustomed to considering Estonia a responsible member of the international community. We share this responsibility together,” President Kersti Kaljulaid said.

According to Foreign Minister Reinsalu, Estonia can be proud of its experts on civilian missions. “Our ability to contribute to civilian missions and have a say in the developments of the world is as good as our people; and we have good people. We have had a lot of positive feedback on our experts; their excellent work ethic, great expertise and their ability to cope with pressure have been highlighted,” he said. Reinsalu thanked the participants in civilian missions for their adaptability, stamina in difficult situations, dedication, and cooperation.
