Mikser offers condolences to Russian colleague

Foreign Minister Sven Mikser has offered condolences to the Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, over the fire at a shopping centre in the city of Kemerovo.

“I express sincere sympathy to the families and friends of the victims and I hope for a rapid recovery for those who were injured,” Mikser writes in his letter to the foreign minister of Russia. “Our thoughts are with the injured and the loved ones of the victims after this tragic event,” Mikser said.

According to initial reports, the fire has left more than 50 people dead, many of them children.
