As a result of increased tensions following the U.S. drone attack, we strongly advise against travelling to Iraq and Afghanistan, and against travelling to Iran without urgent need. We also strongly advise against travelling to areas in Iran that border Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan and Iraq.

The Foreign Ministry’s travel advice for other regions is still valid; however, increased tensions may result in changes in threat assessments.

The ministry recommends all Estonian citizens in the country to get in touch by emailing [email protected] or calling 637 7440. The Foreign Ministry recommends consulting the travel advice section on the ministry’s website: https://reisitargalt.vm.ee/riigid/iraan/
