Foreign Minister Mikser offers condolences to Indonesia

Foreign Minister Sven Mikser offered condolences to the families of the victims of a powerful earthquake and tsunami that hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.


“I offer my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and I wish a speedy recovery to those who are injured,” Mikser wrote to his Indonesian counterpart. “I also wish strength to the rescue teams and volunteers taking part in rescue operations,” he added.


More than 380 people have died and more than 500 have been injured after an earthquake hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi and triggered a tsunami.
