For Estonia, the event is a foreign policy highlight that has the potential of making an important contribution to the development of Eastern and Central European states and the prosperity of more than 100 million people.
Objectives
The Three Seas Virtual Summit involving heads of state will focus on the future of the initiative, funding of cross-border infrastructure projects and on the digitisation of the energy and transport sector. Programme
The virtual summit will focus on three parts:
- working session and panel between Presidents
- smart money (Three Seas Investment Fund, cross-border infrastructure projects)
- smart connectivity (Estonia's vision to expand digital components across key infrastructure)

Secretariat
The Three Seas technical secretariat was created in March 2020 to ensure the smooth organisation of the summit, and the general coordination of the Three Seas initiative. The technical secretariat will work from Tallinn until the end of the year. The member states of the initiative will then make a new decision on its tasks, further work processes and location.
