The Three Seas Virtual Summit involving heads of state focused on the future of the initiative, funding of cross-border infrastructure projects and on the digitisation of the energy and transport sector. Where the latter is concerned, Estonia showcased the Smart Connectivity vision and the extensive digital experience it involves.
The virtual summit focused on three parts:
- working session and panel between Presidents
- smart money (Three Seas Investment Fund, cross-border infrastructure projects)
- smart connectivity (Estonia's vision to expand digital components across key infrastructure)
The Three Seas technical secretariat was created in March 2020 to ensure the smooth organisation of the summit, and the general coordination of the Three Seas initiative.
