Mikser to attend Munich Security Conference

Foreign Minister Sven Mikser will attend the annual high-level security conference in Munich until Sunday. This year’s conference will focus on the role of the West and the future of the world order.

Today, Foreign Minister will give a speech on Estonian Foreign Policy to the participants of the Munich Young Leaders programme and will meet with the representatives of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). On Saturday, Mikser will meet with the Foreign Minister of Macedonia Nikola Poposki to discuss Macedonia - EU relations and the western Balkans.

Topics discussed at the security conference include the position of the EU and NATO in a changing world, the rise of populism and radicalism, relations between the US and the EU and the tense situation in the Middle East.
