The visit of the delegation of the Estonian UN Security Council membership campaign team to Grenada ended with a meeting between Estonia’s special diplomatic envoy Margus Kolga and Grenada’s PM Keith Mitchell who also chairs the CARICOM e-governance and digital development task force.
In addition to discussing the UN Security Council membership campaign, regional and bilateral cooperation opportunities in developing e-governance were discussed. Prime Minister Mitchell had just arrived from a high-level e-governance conference of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union in Antigua and Barbuda where he had also met a delegation of the Estonian e-Governance Academy.
“It is nice to hear that Estonians are not only met in “every port of the world” but also at every digital technology conference,” Kolga said after the meeting.
On 22 May the Estonian delegation led by Member of the Parliament and Member of the President’s Advisory Council for United Nations Security Council Campaign Mr. Hannes Hanso, arrived in the Ecuadorian capital Quito, where meetings were held with the Vice President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Ms.
The visit of the Member of Estonian Parliament and Member of the President’s Advisory Council Mr. Hannes Hanso to South-America continued in Lima, the capital of Peru, where the Estonian delegation, consisting additionally of Ambassador Margus Kolga and diplomat Mari Tomingas, paid a visit on 20 21 May.
